Tenny boppers that obsess over one way overrated band just because the members are "Hot" >_< Lairs. Players. rude people. Child abusers. all mean people! People that buy really expensive designer clothes when they could be helping someone who really needs it.

I seem to have mixed reactions to this question, and it may be b/c I perceive there to be two questions that are blended into what appears to be one question:

Question 1) Do you hate people; and
Question 2) Which ones?

If life teaches us anything, it is not to "hate," because hatred disempowers one in the long-term. It certainly seems natural--normal--to hate others, and it doesn't take much to stimulate that emotion. I tend to agree with one of the answers on the board already that there is something to hate in just about everyone, if only we look hard enough. It also seems true that we hate in others, what we fear most within ourselves, b/c we tend to look for ourselves in others for good or for ill.

Hatred tends to destroy not the one(s) who are the object of hatred, but the one(s) who harbor it--but it takes time. Actually, it sets up a kind of "lose-lose" situation, as the harm done is insidious and mutually destructive in most cases. On the mega level, hatred (particularly shared hatred) leads to violence and war, but it is a way to stay connected. After all we still relate to enemies as well as friends, just in a different way. So, maybe as we become more alienated, we see a greater need for, or justification for, our hatred.

I know that it's your question, and you phrase it the way you want. I would be more interested in a somewhat different twist on the question, such as how can I/we turn something so negative into something positive, and enable myself rather than disempower myself, by squandering precious time, energy and personal resources on something so worthless?

We can all justify our hatred toward anyone of our choosing, but can any of us challenge ourselves beyond its petty confines? I believe that is where human growth and potential lie, and the transformation that our society so desperately needs.

So, no I don't hate people; I just hope that I can find a way to cope effectively with the challenges that they bring to my awareness, and that I can grow from it, without causing harm to others.

i don't hate people, i hate the actions people do.

like for instance, i went to apply for a job and while i was talking to the prospective employer, i asked if the restrooms and other work areas were handicap accessible and he did not give me an application to fill out. his action was he did not want to work with a handicap person.

like i say it is not the person, it is their actions they have toward others.

Self-absorbed people, those that know "what's right for you," people who don't listen--just jabber away, and those who think they're better than others. I guess I don't really hate them but I avoid them at all costs.
