Poke Leaf Green:How do u teach CUT to pokemon?

Question

I beat misty. and I been to S.S anne and talked to the captain.
Now S.S Anne has left the harbour. and I saved the game.

Then I search my bag, my key item, my TM case etc. Everywhere in the bag ... but i still cannot locate where is the HM01 Cut. If it is an item, where is it placed?? Is it inside the bag??

And how do u actually teach it to pokemon?? I've got Bellsprout (grass pokemon) , i think?? Can i teach is to her?? If yes, HOW ...... ??? I can even find the HM item inside the bag.

Please pleaseeeee help ........ I am really desperate ....
Is there any possibility, I might miss the HM01 on the boat?? (I am 200% sure that I have TALKED to the seasick Captain, even though I did NOT search the captain's room thoroughly). Is it a separate item on the table or something?? Or once u talked to the capt., it is automatically given to u????

Please help. All help are much appreaciated ... !!

you go on the boat (ss anne) talk to teh captain, rub his back. he gives you HM01 Cut. its now in your pack. in your TM Case. try scrolling down. unless youve used all the TM's youve collected thus far, youve got more then 1 screen of TM's. you have to scroll down to the bottom since HM's come after TM's.

you said you looked in the TM part of your items. i would assume then, that you scrolled to the bottom, as TMs and HMs are at the bottom.

i know that you're not able to drop it or put it in the computer or let a pokemon hold it, so that can't be the problem. judging by your typing, you are not an idiot, so it's not that you're not trying.

i'm not sure what happened, but the captain is supposed to automatically give it to you when you make him feel better, and he can't maneuver the ship out of the dock if he's sick. it is part of the speech sequence, and not an item that you need to get by 'finding' it

since you can't seem to find it, i would suggest that you trade with someone, so they can teach cut to your pokemon for you, using their HM.

in order to use a TM/HM, you just go to it, and push A. then it will ask who you'd like to use it on, and it will show your 1-6 pokemon in your group, and next to it, it will tell you who can and can't learn it. from there, you just pick one to learn it. bellsprout is among those that can learn cut.
