Yes to both. Here's a sample from a poem about my struggle with illness, anxiety and depression:

Overload
Shutdown
Darkness

The path is very slipp'ry and I cannot see.
Am I up or am I down? What's become of me?

Loss
Pain
Hopelessness

Do I see a ray of light shining in the cave?
To my ears some distant praise, floating on wave?

Fear
Isolation
Loneliness

Two steps forward, one step back, falling on my knees.
Will I make it, or give up? Someone help me please!

Here's a sample of my song of praise and rejoicing:

Praise the Lord and glorify His Name, give thanks for all that He has done.
In Christ Jesus we have be redeemed; By His blood, the vict'ry's won.
Those who once were dead in sin, He has called to live in Him.

For obvious reasons, these are only samples. Hope you enjoy them.

i have written one. it is for my ex. .

the lonely bird.
the days are long and the nights are lonely
i see your face on evey ypoung man
on the streets i see mirages of you and me walking hand in hand.
the sky is my only connection to you
i started a dangerous game and i have to end it
this is my punishment
this is my sin
like the sea i will look at you
like the sky you will rain on me tears of sadness
you are free
but i am bounded
eternally in the sufferrings of your love
you gave me my life back
but in return you took my heart away.
now i know why wise men say that revenge is a trap
i am in a trap
my soul is trapped in my body
one day it will fly to you.
one day it will be free
one day my soul will fly like a lonely bird
day by day the lonely bird bleeds in a cage
it doesnot struggle anymore
it doesnot want to fly
all its dream has been over
it is waiting to die
waiting to be free
free fro the shakles of life.
the kings come to hear the bird sing
it sings from the mind
not from the soul
its soul hasbeen harden
its heart is bleeding
but its smile is there
my lips are smiling but my eyes are crying
lips can lie
but eyes never can
they are the windows to my soul
this is my sorrow
this is my pain
this is my punishment
i have to suffer it all my life

My daughter loves this one...I wish you could hear the tune...ahem...
A chicken walked by
he pooped in my pie
I put it in the oven and I said"Oh,My!.......
Chicken poop pie.
Well I loved that chicken ,that's a fact
I rolled him up in flour and I fried him for a snack
It's true I don't have that chicken no more ,but WAIT! there's one knockin' on my door!
Time for chicken poop pie!

Yes,my wife thinks I'm a nut.
