just wondering.....isnt it like illegal for ppl under 16 or sumthing to go into chatrooms?

so then its rlly the kids fault for being dumbasses

or the parents fault for not being watchful enough

yeah it is the kids fault for being retards and lieing about their age the rules r there for a reason to protect them

I've met people on line and later in person....but never for sex or anything inappropriate.

I just don't think the internet is a good place to find love or sex.... i mean, have you seen how ugly and nasty those guys that get caught on Dateline look? Some look like they stink...yuck!

Also, the parents (if they care) should have strict rules on chatting. Though their kids may not hook up with anyone they met on-line, their kids may be festering a sick person's perverted compulsions. Parents should note that as being an "accomplice."

OK so your final determination is its the kids fault for being victims of pedophiles?
Surely you can see more to it than that.Kids are whatcha call VULNERABLE(look it up) society al over the world pretty much agree they require extra protection. Parents of course need to protect them. But police and laws are also needed, parents would have a hard time protecting kids if there were no laws or police or courts to help. Common citizens also help like the guys at "perverted justice"(look it up) Be part of the soultion, man stop critsizing. Or are you one of them?
