shirts with buttons buttoned all the way to the top. I see that those victorian collared shirts are showing up in mags again. Is this buttoned up look coming back? Girls, would you or do you wear your clothes this way? Boys, do you like this look and why?

My question was a fashion question really, My boy friend likes all kinds of looks on my (actually I think he just like me the best) but this one he requests the most. It's not a control thing.

The buttoned up look is totally cool if you do it right. Most of the trick is your attitude and not choosing a top that makes you look like a nerd. Buttoning up to the collar can be a statement that you can have lots of fun with it. Choose a top with interesting buttons, metal or shell, and it is really cool of you dress down the pants (nice for time when a little contrast is called for). Since your man sounds like he is interested in having some fun with you, as long as you are open to it I say, go for it. The style is not at all out of fashion and I think the Victorian tops out now with the short, tight ruffles (don't want anything too big Victorian) are way cute buttoned up.
And the great thing is that (when done right) The buttoned up look has the magic effect of making younger women look older by a few years and older (midlife) women look younger by many years.

Wearing something your boyfriend likes to see you in isn't a big deal. We all know men are very visual so I don't see an issue in wearing the shirt, unless you absolutly hate it of course. The victorian look is a nice look that works for some people because, paired with the right skirt or pant, it can be sexy without being skanky and can make a man wonder what's underneath.

Victorian style collars and shirts are totally back in. THere are some great ones at Bebe that are a lace type top with great cuffs. Try some on. You won't be able to tell if they suit you if you don't try. Maybe bring your boyfriend shopping with you.

Yes those shirts are nice and are coming back. you can wear them with jeans or skirts or a velvet jacket when the weather is cooler. Just don't let him tell you what to wear and when to wear it! Watch out for those guys! Best wishes and have fun with fashion while you are young and can wear anything and before kids! Mom usually don't get to buy as much then.

Personally I have huge boobs, so I never button my shirts all the way. I think it looks frumpy when you button them all the way up. Tell your man that he has to walk around with his 'thang' hanging out if he wants you to button yourself all the way up....

why not? look, always believe that when other people( your boy-friend ) that u look good in this or that, that really means. so when he asks u to wear something for him, so whats the problem. that depends upon how much u love him.
well, i would get to any extent if he gets happy with it.
no big deal. try it for his love!

I have these kind of shirts..I like to wear them becoz my neck look ugly (very thin and bony) , i think they're comfortable too

that's actually ur choice...if you feel comfortable about it then go..you really dont need to be into the latest fashion you just have to be yourself...and help your boyfriend understand that he has to accept you the way you are..how you look and how you even dress..

Yes, they are coming back. I think it looks hot, if you think it looks good on you, do it. I always tell my boyfriend what to wear haha.
