Man, it could be almost anything. I would start by checking your temps. Open up the side and clean out the dust, especially off the heatsink on your processor.

There are many things that can cause this problem.Overheating, Virus, Bad RAM, an attached device or some other anomaly maybe causing the issue. I used to have an old Dell PC that used to power off. We found that the issue was due to a motherboard problem and a damaged connection. Of course, check for spyware, viruses, etc...Is there a message when it shuts down or does it just shut off on its own with no details?

There may be several problems: Software confilct, Hardware problem, or virus/worm (Some do that). You should probaly take it to a computer place.

it might be just because you are so freekin' hot and the heat that you are radiating is transferring over to your computer, causing it to shut down...

if u have a virus scanner update it and then scan your system u have a bug. if u don't have virus sftwr buy some u need it
