you must have heard that energy can neither be created nor destroyed it can only be changed from one form to another
But this equation proves that you can change matter to energy
and tells the amount of energy you will get from matter say during a nuclear reaction
e = energy
m = mass
c = speed of light ( which is constant 300000000 m/s)
a body of mass 10 kg can be converted to energy equivalent to
10kg X (300000000)squared
=10 X 90000000000000000
=900000000000000000 joules

Energy equals mass times the speed of light squared! Which means: the closer one gets to the speed of light the slower their metabolism operates. However, the possibility of reaching the speed of light is discarded by some who believe that the speed of light will never be achieved because the slower the metabolism operates the more energy it takes to maintain , or increase velocity. The closer you get to light speed the farther you are from it.

Einstein's theory or Relativity. To travel at the speed of light one would slow the aging process of the traveler, while the time the traveler started from would be accelerated. - For every action, there is a reaction

It means when you travel at a speed close to the speed of light some of your mass will be converted into energy.

it means that energy loss is equal to the product of mass and speed of light squared. c , here stands for the speed of light. look it was an out come og the theory of relativity by albert einstein.
