If you insert them the way the direction tell you, than there should be no discomfort. The only kind of discomfort you should have while wearing a tampon is when you pull it out and there is not enough blood on it, that may hurt a little. Make sure you are changing them more regularly than pads though because when wearing tampons you are at risk for TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome) this is a very rare disease. The directions from the tampon box will let you know of the symptoms though. Also one of the best kinds of tampons, that I have found, is Tampax Pearl. They are great for first-times. They have a easy plastic applicator that slids in very easily, while the regular Tampax are made of cardboard and are uncomfortable to get on! Hope i helped you out!

this can effect for diverse causes. The tampon would nicely be too large, no longer in far sufficient, you're not to any extent further somewhat bleeding heavily sufficient and it really is sticking interior somewhat, or it would nicely be somewhat crooked. Play-tex and Tampax both make junior or lite sizes of tampons as against the common, large and massive plus. you should purpose a smaller length; once you're youthful and only starting up your era, the section down there is extremely small and tight which could actually reason soreness. There are 2 sorts of applicators; plastic and cardboard, or no applicator in any respect. O.B. tampon's commonly don't have applicators, and that i hit upon those very complicated to insert. at the same time as i changed into starting up my era i found that i ought to easily use the plastic applicators and the cardboard ones damage, now that i'm older, i take advantage of the cardboard applicators in common length. in the experience that your tampons have applicators then you definitely favor to adhere to the guidelines. you could try status up rather of sitting. also, flow slowly and gently push the applicator in till your palms (on the grip of applicator) contact your epidermis, then gently push the plunger of the applicator in and extract the applicator. My remark about the bleeding would no longer being heavy sufficient, only signifies that if you're recognizing you do not somewhat want a tampon, and rather the cotton of it is going to follow the vaginal walls and that ought to reason soreness from time to time. It takes somewhat practice before each little thing, I nevertheless by danger placed them in incorrect. it really is extra ideal to easily grab yet another one and examine out again then to cope with the soreness. wish I helped.

It's not supposed to. It would also feel uncomfortable if your flow is too light and the absorbency is too high. So if the flow is low, go for juniors or lights, or else it'll feel really uncomfortable.
Also make sure it's inserted right.

I think they are just not safe. To me it seems more natural to just let the blood flow out of the system entirely (by using pads) than trying to "dam" it up. I only use tampons if I am going to be swimming that day.

No. Only if you choose one whose absorbency is more than you need. Like, if your flow is very light but you use a super plus, it could be uncomfortable. Choose an absorbency that is commensurate with your flow.

Yes. They hurt. So I don't use them. I've only used one once in my entire life, and only because I had to. Also, I'm a virgin, and I don't like the idea of anything being up^ in there.

not if they are inserted properly and taken out when they are full. Other than that you don't even know they are in. Much better than a pad and less messy
