I live in Maryland, but closer to D.C.
Salisbury is much quieter. The closest city is Baltimore and it's nearly 100 miles away. You are definitely in the country here, but it's a nice place.
Here's their listing in Wikipedia and their official website.

I just noticed OR ANY PART OF MARYLAND. Baltimore is a great city. Lots of restaurants, festivals, arts, museums, interesting people. I like in the D.C. suburbs which gives you access to all that D.C has to offer without any of the problems of city life. As was said earlier...Maryland rocks!

This site gives a lot of information on weather, where's it near, has maps.http://www.city-data.com/city/Salisbury-Maryland.html

Salisbury is a good place to live if you are a farmer, or want to get to know some. Maryland is a great state though. Try Ocean City, or Baltimore, or in between Baltimore and DC (Prince George County near University of MD @ College Park). Good Luck!
