Over the last few months I have had a vaginal issue that seems to have stumped the 4 doctors I have seen about it. Each doctor has given me a different answer or no answer at all and just treated what they could find.
The symptoms are this: external vaginal itching and irritation, sharp stabbing pain during intercourse (this does not happen every time), cramping - like menstrual cramps - after intercourse (this also does not happen everytime, but occurs more often than pain during intercourse), and a white, creamy, clumpy discharge that ONLY comes out during intercourse. I would describe it as cottage cheese-like, only with smaller "clumps."

The ony relief I have found is Rephresh or Replens every 3 days, but it doesn't last the full 3 days anymore. I also started douching in the bathtub (I don't use the douches sold in stores) in order to clear out the "cottage cheese." When I do this the "cottage cheese" comes out in a large clump approximately 1 inch in length or bigger and is more solid than when it comes out during intercourse.
I think this substance, whatever it is, causes the constant itching and irritation that I experience, probably liquifying and mixing with my normal discharge? I have done several treatments for yeast infections and my last was in pill form prescribed by my doctor. These symptoms have continued through and during the yeast treatments leaving me to believe that it is NOT yeast.

PLEASE, if you have had any of the same symptoms, respond to me. I'm at my wits end... my doctors aren't helping me, my relationship is suffering and I'm freaking out!
And to cover those of you who jump to the worst conclusions... I have been tested and cleared for STD's.

Sounds like you need a sonogram. Find an internist. You really need to keep going until you they find what is wrong. They need to check for STD's, a yeast infection, and endometriosis.

I myself have never experienced all these symptoms, but I had a friend tell me about this before when she thought I might have had it when I had the cramping pains. This sounds a lot like a "vaginal infection", not a yeast infection. Doctors tend to mistake if for a yeast infection. Search online for "Vaginal Infections", "Cervical Infections", and "Uterine Infections" and see if any of those match your symptoms. I could be mistaken about the exact name, that's why I listed all three, but I think it is the "Vaginal Infection." The symptons she told me about are these: vaginal itching, pain during and after intercourse (not when using a tampon, but only with intercourse), cramping, and the discharge you are discribing. Research this through google to verify these symptoms and tell your doctor what you found. You might also want to get him to check for ovarian, uteran, or cervical systs/cancer, cause these symptoms can be associated with that too. And please do not douche, that will only make it worse, find a doctor that can help. Make sure you are going to a GBYN and not a MD. Good luck.

When you have pain during intercourse have you noticed if it was around your time of the month? Within a week maybe? Your ovaries come out from their protection during that time and if they are a little more sensitive than normal you will have extreme pain especially in certain positions. Also the clumpy ***, may just be a slight infection. stop having sex and clean yourself and take somthing for yeast infection. When it's gone your safe to have sex again. If your man keeps doing you with the infection he will just keep putting it back inside of you each time you have sex and there will be no way to get rid of it.

As far as sharp stabbing pain during intercourse (this does not happen every time), cramping - like menstrual cramps - after intercourse.
That could be Endometriosis
Everything else sounds like a severe yeast infection. If it is a yeast infectioon the doctors should have known that.

Th white, creamy, clumpy, cottage cheese like stuff is yeast. It sounds like you have a really bad case of it. The cramping, and pain youre having is common too. Whether youre having sex or not.
You know, this is something I dont understand about our doctors, they dont know enough about yeast. I suffered with intestinal yeast overgrowth for 5 yrs before I found a doc that knew what I had. I was on my death bed. I wasnt eating, due to severe nausea, pain all over my body, vaginal yeast infections, allergies, hairloss, itching scalp....to name a few.
I finally found this doc, who saved my life. He has written two books on yeast. I have researched it to learn as much as I can.
I think you are having a bad case of yeast and you need to get with a doc that can help you. My doc is an Environmentalist doc. Look that up online for your area or look in the phone book, or ask around. The best thing you can do YOURSELF right now, is, get some Monistat at the grocery store, Get the 7 day treatment. If its not gone, do another one. Take acidophilus, its by your pharmacy, also at the grocery store. Take one with each meal. Avoid all sugars, anything WITH sugar. Avoid anything with yeast, like bread or anything baked. Avoid dairys and anything made with flour. Also, avoid antibiotics. That is what got me in my situation with yeast.
I wish you the best of luck. I hope you get to feeling better.
This will get you going in the right direction.

The cottage cheese discharge sound like a yeast infection.
The pain during intercourse is very common with ovarian cysts,I would ask your doctor to do a vaginal ultrasound. Not all cysts are
dangerous but it is still important to get it checked out.Good luck.

Sounds like a yeast infection. Make sure you treat it and that it's healed completely before you have sex. Do not have sex during treatment, and wait a week after you start the treatment before you have sex. If your man's junk is itching him, get him treated too.

It sounds like a yeast infection. I seriously had something like that this week. The doc told me yeast infection, and a bacterial infection at the same time that he couldn't figure out. He gave me Diflucan, and I feel a bit better.

I Believe you are describing a descended cervix. I imagine the times you refer to as non painful are with smaller men. There is surgury that can fix this, and it depends on the severity of the case, yours does not sound severe, as I have seen worse.
