what it means when you get a warning yellow flag and it says the you have an IP address conflict on your system?

Your not having a good connection to the net, maybe you need to refresh your isp... to do this u need to go to the control panel and network concetions right click and chose repair

Most likely you have a router set up with multiple computers getting online. If this is the case, it means that two of your computers are getting the same IP address from the router. How you do this depends on your operating system (version of Windows/Macintosh), but you can try assigning different IP addresses to the two PCs statically.

In XP, you'd go into Start:Control Panel: Network Connections: Local area connection properties: Internet protocol: Use the following IP address. If you're not sure what to specify, double click on the Local Area connection first and go to the support tab to see what the IP address/Subnet Mask/Default gateway look like. Keep the Subnet and Default gateway the same, change the ending field of the IP address to .101 or .102, something along those lines.

Someone figured out your I.P. address and is trying to use it.
Two I.P. addresses cant be used at the same time..
