WHAT CAN I(and my bro), AS A BRO, OR MY PARENTS DO TO KEEP HER FROM TAKING THAT PATH?

if i talk to her, how and what do i say? my mom already talked to her in a very punishing, yet trying to find out the truth kind of tone but my dad is in denial, and i'll say she's under 10 years old, too young to even be thinking about boys, they should have cooties

she's not having sex, she's in third grade!!!!! and she is at the mouth of taking that path that will make her a slut in the future, she wants to go and kiss this boy in her class, and sh*t, i want to know how to get her away from that path

2006-09-29 18:33:43 · update #2

i'm not ******* calling her a slut, i'm saying she's on an obvious path to becoming one, and its not on the cheek, she wants to really kiss him mouth to mouth, saying she loves him and other things.

umm.. she is under 10?

kick your parents in the @ss for not being better parents.

1) dont buy her slutty clothing
2) drive her butt to school and pick it back up so there is no unsupervised hanky-panky going on before or after and no skipping
3) supervise her actions with other children. dont let her play alone with other kids
4) talk to her dr. if she is so young and already knowing about sex and acting slutty, there is a very good chance she might be or haven been sexually molested and she is acting out because of it.

or you might just want to have a good talk with her. ask her what she thinks "kissing" is.. just because she wants to kiss boys, doesnt mean she wants to french kiss them. maybe she just wants to give a smooch on the cheek. i know i remember being in 1st grade when the subject of boyfriend/girlfriend came up, but that "relationship" wouldve been nothing like a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship between 20year olds.

ok i'm adding a bit more after posting and then reading your additional comments.

grow the f' up! you want to control the kid too much. there was the same thing going on in dear abby not to long ago. you cant tell the girl not to "love." she is growing and developing emotionally and exploring different levels. if you control her like a jew in a nazi prison camp, you ARE going to end up with a very angry teenage girl who DOES rebel and become a slut. she is at the butterfly stage. if you try and control her and grasp her too hard, you're going to crush her and run the risk of ruining her future relationships. if she is around men who are controlling, she will see this as acceptable behavior and will end up in negative relationships with emotionally abusive and controling boyfriends/husbands.

How old is she? Where is she living? These are both serious question that I would like to know. It would help us give a more better answer. I mean is she 15 and living at home or 23 and living on her own.

Sorry to hear about this. Its not a easy thing to bring up at all. Talking to her may help. I am out of ideas.

DUDE shes under 10! Either you and or your mom is jumping the gun , at her age kissing WILL or hopefully be the most that goes on between her and her so called boyfriend and its probably kissing on the cheek. You could take her to see a doctor of some kind or a school consular anything like that if you think its out of hand. Sorry to hear about this but 9 and younger man. That's weird.

If this is over kissing boys in class in grade 3 then its not that big of a deal. And why the hell are you calling your very young baby sister that's under 10 a ****!!!!! That's what I want to know.

---edited---

Even so kissing boys in public school is different. I know she is not my sister so maybe the boy is trying to get her to go further or she wants to go further then kissing but kids do sometimes do stuff like what your describing at young age sometimes even younger. I kissed a few boys before grade 5.and I have only had 2 real boyfriends even today and I only have had sex with one of them.

I don't know how old your sister is, I think that makes a difference. Also, I don't know what your definition of a slut is, is it someone that has sex before marriage or is it someone who is having sex with a different guy every night? Assuming your sister is older then say 18, she is going to do what she wants, but, I would talk to her and tell her that she needs to be careful. She can get diseases, pregnant, etc. Tell her you care for her and hate to see anything bad happen to her. She should at a minimum use protection. Has something happened to her recently that made her change. Maybe something is making her really unhappy, she could talk to a counselor. A lot of girls I know after they got out of a serious relationship, they went crazy and started sleeping with a bunch of guys. It was a reaction, then they were fine again.

A lot of girls look for love through sex. As brothers you can let her know what guys are really like. Sorry that sounds bad but as a guy you know what I mean. There are just too many negatives to sleeping around and the biggest one is if she is ready to become a mother, or kill a child (sorry if not politically correct but the truth sometimes make people wince). I'm sorry but women who sleep around just don't have any respect for themselves and their bodies .. perhaps you can explain this to her. Has she been sexually abused? Women who have been sexually abused act out through meaningless sex. There are many answers to this question ... You could try giving her the book by Dr. Laura Schlessinger: The 10 stupid things women do to mess up their lives. Best of luck to you.

Now that I have read your updated information ... good lord your kidding 3rd grade, 10 years old. I think you are jumping the gun a little here. BUT perhaps she has been sexually abused in some way. This is way too young for a little girl to be acting out like this, therefore, she could be acting out because of something that has happened to her. If she was abused she could be interpreting positive things (because the abuser gives positive reinforcement to their victims) from sex. If she has not been abused (my prayers are with you there) then she just needs to be taught what is appropriate behavior and what is not and if that means watching her every minute of the day then that is what it means. As a parent I would spend a couple of days in the classroom ... the entire day with her and observing her behavior.

Have you tried explaining to her the dangers in that or the things that can come out of it like pregnancy? Or go at it from a different angle and ask her if she wants that reputation with everyone and let her no that no one will ever take her seriously and she will never be able to settle down because anyone who comes to her will be looking for one thing and one thing only...this is also a hard question to answer being as you didnt give us an age!! Good luck and i hope you sister decides to choose another and better path!!! She will be in my prayers

Are you sure your not over reacting just a little? I would like to know how old you are? I think you should keep your parents informed and stay back and watch. You are in a position to make a difference. However, you cannot do that if your calling her bad names and acting like your her keeper. Be a big brother to her and give her advice and listen to her as well. I agree she is too young to be into boys, I Wonder if she has many friends? Believe it or not, you can protect her better by being her friend and being there for her rather then your a **** attitude. my two cents worth

First of all tell her you are concerned about her behaviour. Explain gently to her that it is against the law for someone to have sex with her at her age and that they could go to jail for it. Explain the health dangers of this type of behaviour and explain what safe sex is all about.
Ask her if there is a reason she is behaving like this. Something may be troubling her that you don't know about. She may find it easier to talk to another female about it. Do her friends know anything that may help you understand? Perhaps she needs to be monitored more closely and allowed less freedom. A check up at the local health clinic would be a good idea for her.

ok, now i have read what you have expressed in a tone most would find aggressive, but you seem very concerned, some females start to feel the electricity vibes of what we know as sexual arrousment as early as 7, it is brought on by seeing, watching and experimenting. by this i mean shows, older sibblings and other friends tales... i found my daughter going about the same path because i didn't see a problem with the daily soappies, i was becoming bad one of them too, i had many a swing as they say in my early teens. my family did everything they could to guide me right path. it took me to realise my sl*ty ways when my current partner didn't want anything to do with me. i had slept with him and believed that was all he was after... and went on my way, but we would still talk and when i thought we were gonna heat up again he told me he didn't like slops... this deeply offended me and made me very angry. i started seeing the way i acted around males, i stopped seeing any one and didn't have any partners for a whole year. my hubby realised what i had shown and fell for me. i made sure i always used protection but still got tested to clear my mind and his.. the best way to help your sister is to show her what she is doing. she won't like it, but do it before it takes a different path, you can beat her head into a brick wall but that will have no affect until she's bound to lose something she loves....

Is your sister fat? No offense. I used to cousel girls just like that. She desperately needs therapy. Does she want to be popular. Does she need attention from your parents? These are all questions a qualified therapist will help answer. You are such a kind and caring young man. Good luck to you and her.

Let her know how much you love her and care for her, and tell her that she is way too good and precious to be taking this path. Be understanding, she is just a child and does not know what she is doing. If she doesnt listen to you, let her know that you ll always be there for her no matter what.

But first please stop calling her a sl*t.
