In the symposium, Plato records the last words of Socrates, which has been condemned to death.
Socrates says he doesn't fear death because one either remains conscious after death, or all consciousness ceases. Socrates argued if consciousness ceases after death, than he had nothing to fear, he was simply going to sleep. If that was the case, he would not suffer from the absence of consciousness, so there was nothing to worry about.
If consciousness continued after death, he had nothing to fear either, because he would carry on existing, and he couldn't be afraid of that either.

To be blunt, accept death as the fact of life. Why should you fear something you can not control? We're all going to die but on our death bed how many of us will say that we really lived, instead of going down stream being pushed by the current. My suggestion is to make your life worth living and that's how you stop the fear, one good deed at the time. When you spread love you have no fear.

The best way not to fear death is to know what happens when we die. Check out this scripture at Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verse 5, "For theliving are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all."
Another way not to fear death is knowing what Jesus likened death to. Read John 11:11-13, "Lazarus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep. Therefore the disciples said to him: Lord if he has gone to rest, he will get well. Jes had spoken, however, about his death. But they imagined he was speaking about taking rest in sleep."
So Jesus tried to help them understand what death is like. A sleep-like state in which we dont dream.
But is that all there is? Is that the end of things? No if you want to know more, I'll be happy to give you more scriptures to look up and reason on.

DEATH IS A NAME FOR THE FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN NO BODY CAN DEFINE DEATH..
AS A MATTER OF FACT ITS ONLY THE MICRO SECONDS WHICH MAKE U FEAR THAT U R GOING TO DIE.. BUT IF I PUT IT IN OTHER WORDS U JUST BECOME UNCONSCIOUS OR U GO TO SLEEP.. DO U FEAR GOING TO SLEEP (NO).. BUT SINCE U DONT KNOW WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN AFTER DEATH THAT MAKES U SCARRY CAUSE U DONT KNOW WHATS GOING TO BE
BUT BELIVE ME THERE IS NOTHING TO GET SCARED OF DEATH ITS A BEAUTIFUL EXPERICE.. WHICH NONE CAN DESCRIBE,,
IF IN OTHER WORDS U STAND ON THE RAIL TRACK AND U SEE A TRAIN MOVING TOWARDS U, U FEEL THE FEAR AS U KNOW THE TRAIN WILL HIT U BUT SUPPOSE U LIVE,????? THATS THE FEAR... CAUSE IF I TELL U THE TRAIN WILL HIT U AND U WILL NOT KNOW!!! ACCORDING TO SCIENCE A SECOND BEFORE UNCONSCIOUSNESS OR DEATH THE HUMAN MIND GOES BLIND SO U DONT FEEL THE PAIN WHEN U GET THE CRASH.. SO JUST TAKE CARE AND DONT WORRY..

If you are living with fear of death, what is the real cost to your health, your career or school, and to your family life? Avoiding the issue indefinitely would mean resigning yourself to living in fear, missing out on priceless life experiences big and small, living a life that is just a shadow of what it will be when the problem is gone.
For me I just think of it as something I can't control and forget about it. The more you think about it the faster it will come

The first thing is we have to understand what we are?
We can say we are human beings. But not only that much beyond that. We have to realise it. We are not only a physical body but we can understand we are an unlimited Devin powers. As Newton's low energy cannot be create cannot be destroy.
So there is no question of death. But we can convert energy.
it is just like changing of our dresses. When one body becomes old we ie. the power or the soul takes new one. Getting a new dress is a matter of happy!!

Death is different for everyone. Compare the person who dies in their sleep dreaming that they are lying in a meadow vs the person who dies in a plane crash. Shakespeare said a coward dies a thousand times. Spiritually, I would say to learn and increase your faith in God by spending time with him in the Bible. Fear is the opposite of faith. Psychologically, understand that death of us beings here on Earth is a good thing, because if people lived forever, nothing would ever get done. People would say, I'll take care of it in the next century. But for now, I'm about to chill like Rip Van Winkle.

I belive in God and Satan, Heaven and Hell. I belive the Bible also. I belive the Bible teaches salvation through Faith in Christ's forgiveness of our sins. I do not fear death, only the things that I did not do in life that I should have and sometimes the things that i did do that I shouldn't have (however, since God has and will forgive me I should not fear this second thing). I can't tell you to believe in all these things. That would be pointless. I can only tell you that it works for me.

Think of it as a part of life. Or better yet life's cycle. You can't have life without it. I believe its mainly because people fear the unknown, but you can create any thoughts of what it can mean for you in a positive way.
