I just finished watching Ron Howard's A Beautiful Mind. It is the story of John Nash, a Nobel Prize winner who was diagnosed with schizophrenia.

Is it possible that all human minds are not healthy? Is it possible that all Human minds are sick (in that they are not working as they should in a healthy organism)? Could this just be a matter of degrees (some of us are sicker than others)?

Do not just rant. Try to back up your answer with more than just "I believes."

If something is metaphysical it cannot be proved by physical means thus "I believe" is the only way people can answer.

My boyfriend is now schizophrenic we learned. He was the leading salesman for years. He is 52 and I am 50. We have been together for 6 years. I know that we can be sane people, but I also see your point about sane minds can turn sick....If we are with a sick person too long, yes, we can become sick, too, in different ways....I understand your question completely and wish I could help more.

Minerals have a physical body.That's 1.
Plants have a physical body AND vitality. That's 2.
Animals have a physical body, vitality AND desire. That's 3.
Humans have a physical body, vitality, desire, AND a mind. That's 4.
Each addition is sequential.
Our minds are at the vanguard of our evolution.
They are not sick. They are in their infant stage of development.
Seeing what wonders have come from Creation...
5 will surely be equally amazing.

This question is physical and not metaphysical.

A defective brain is a physical abnormality in Nash's case chemically treatable.

As for mental abnormality I believe Rawles said it best when he said that if you pierce the veil of ignorance you discover that the last great deference is between the smart and the dumb.
