First off if the water is very cold that you are drinking it could lead you to be more thirsty. This is becuase you body must use heat/ energy to warm the very cold water up to body temperature so that it can be used. Your body must also warm up your mouth and tongue after you drink which could account for the cottony feeling in you mouth. It may help to drink room temperature water to see if that gives you any relief. In addition, some drugs can cause a feeling of "cotton mouth" which could also be contributing.
In general, the condition of excessive thirst is called polydipsia. This can be caused by several different things. The most common is Diabetes Mellitis. With this, in addition to excessive thrist, you would also have excessive urination that is concentrated and ususally strong smelling. The next is Diabeted Insipidis. With this you will also have excessive urination but it will have almost no color and little to no odor. It is also possibly a condition refered to as psyogenic polydipsia. This is a compulsion to drink water when there is not a physical reason for thirst. All three of these problems could be very serious and it is advisable that you seek the advice of a trusted physician to determine the cause of you excessive thirst.

You're not drinking 20 cups of water. You're drinking 10 cups of water and 10 cups of tea. The body uses water to cleanse and hydrate the body and cells. The body treats tea just like any other food. It must be processed through the kidneys and liver before it can be evacuated as urine. Your body will only crave water if it needs it. If you drink the tea late at night it tends to make you need to get up during the night to go to the urinate.

Drinking too much water can lead to a condition known as water intoxication and to a related problem resulting from the dilution of sodium in the body, hyponatremia. From the cell's point of view, water intoxication produces the same effects as would result from drowning in fresh water. Electrolyte imbalance and tissue swelling can cause an irregular heartbeat, allow fluid to enter the lungs, and may cause fluttering eyelids. Swelling puts pressure on the brain and nerves, which can cause behaviors resembling alcohol intoxication. Swelling of brain tissues can cause seizures, coma and ultimately death unless water intake is restricted and a hypertonic saline (salt) solution is administered. If treatment is given before tissue swelling causes too much cellular damage, then a complete recovery can be expected within a few days.
You should definitely see a doctor to find out if you have a medical problem that's causing your extreme thirst, such as diabetes or a thyroid condition, etc.

I'm not Exactly sure. I do know that, I used to not Drink a lot of Water Because I would Blow up like a Fish. However, I decided to try something one day. I decided to try the type of water that a person with Bad Allergies like Myself was drinking.
I didn't Blow up after starting to drink it. I mean the water would collect underneath my skin and form a sort of water bed.
When I started Drinking this other Water, Evian Water. That didn't happen.
I decided it might have something to do with the Sodium a lot of Company's use to Purify their water with. Evian Water has Virtually No Sodium and Taste Like Natural Spring Water, Which it is supposed to be by the way.

This sounds like an extraordinary amount of fluids. Do you put sugar in your tea? If so that is too much sugar, and excessive thirst is one of the signs of diabetes. I hope that you have a complete yearly physical at the doctors with bloodwork up. It is possible to have water intoxication and it throws the electrolyte balance in your body out of wack. My best advise is to speak to a doctor about this so he can get the full picture.

When you haven't drunk water in a while and then all the sudden you do your body automatically stores it making you bloated. That may be why your face does that. I suggest drinking it just as much during the day and see if you still have the same symptoms

Er, seeing's how it probably just gets flushed out, I would say no. You might want to get yourself checked out, though, since that seems like a LOT of water; there might be something that's causing you to be excessively thirsty.
