Quite clearly! More and more cameras everywhere, unfettered access to personal data (financial, medical, etc...). GPS in phones, black boxes in cars. California is looking to have GPS in cars to charge drivers by the mile for driving! Businesses and marketers set cookies and spyware to follow your online activity. There's no end.

We can't get much closer. We are in the middle of it.
It is amazing that on my job, there is a computerized "report" for every single thing. Not to mention cameras everywhere. At every intersection of the streets.
Apply for any type of financing.....they'll tell you things about yourself that even you didn't know.

they have already passed the lawsrequired to turn this into a complete police state, they only need to implement them. the next "terrorist" attack is all they need to have most of the american idocracy crying for big brother to protect them. myself I will be looking to get out of the country and the hell they have in store for those of you that still support the maniacs in charge

We are moving to a fascist state. That means losing civil liberties- or freedoms. Strangely enough, the justification for our loss of liberties is "for our freedom".

haha... what do you mean "moving closer"? we are already there!! wire taping without warrants, satelites that can zoom down on anyone (which makes me wonder why we don't have in laden unless he is being PROTECTED by someone **cough** BUSH **cough**). it is an absolute joke! we are being stripped of our rights one by one and out pocketbooks cent by cent. rock on orwell. perhaps his book was a warning??
