Is it possible it could have been because of plate tectonics or are there some other factors involved?

They think Miranda might have been involved in a collision that turned it molten for a while, and the ridges happened when parts of it resolidified before other parts

Are they Saturn's moons? I keep forgetting. But I do know the moons. Hmmmm.................................... It's either plate tectonics, meteorite impacts or Saturn's(or other planet) gravitational pulling the crust of the planet, like the moon with the Earth's tides.

i am not sure but i think it might be caused by under water volcanic eruptions.
