Firstly the movie was specially shot in highlighted colour on a black and white background. The story started with narration just like those olden movies in the 50's. The action was relatively very satisfying and I reckoned many watched this movie because of Jessica Alba.
Funny.. I did not noticed and realized Mickey Rouke was in the movie. matter of fact a starring role too. I was apprecaiting this big buffy guy acting and only when I saw the credits then I realized it was Mickey Rouke.

I just watched it yesterday for the third time. I really liked it before, but now the comic book elements just don't hold up. The story of Marv is the best, but I hate how he dies.

The story of Clive Owen is okay, but I don't like the name of the Asian girl because it means something stupid in Spanish, nor how he keeps referring to her as "deadly little...." It's so condescending and annoying.

Lastly, Bruce Willis' story is my story. A dozen years ago I alienated all my friends trying to save the sister of two of them from being molested by their father. I turned him in to the cops, got chased and threatened by everyone, and I am still in a prison-like exile, threatened to stay away, helpless to do anything, too afraid to seek revenge myself, while the child molester is still out there, free, unpunished. The difference is my "Nancy" only loved me a little, and quickly forgot about me. I've tried to get back with her once after she grew up, but she lied about everything and it was soon over. And I've tried to contact her since then to ask her "why," but she won't answer. I won't kill myself for that kind of love.

I liked it in a strange way....i thought it was a bit confusing and maybe a little too much violence....reminded me of Kill Bill. But still find it that I can't help but want to watch it.

i thought it was entertaining. definitely a movie you had to watch more than once to catch everything. the sequel will help to explain some of the parts that were confusing.

I loved it. I wasn't confused at all. I loved its use of color in a black and white world, cinematography, editing, and lighting. All in all, I give it a 10 out of 10.

i liked it but the fact that the gir who was writing all those letters to the old guy is kinda gross because she waited for him to get out of jail and she like totally kissed him when he is old enough to be her father...

I liked it, so I bought it on DVD. I like action films, and it had plenty of that.
