Why or why not?

You people aren't answering the question. I didn't ask for evidence. I asked why you do or do not belive in God. If you have what you think is evidence then post it, If not then give your reasons, whether they are scientific or just feelings. But please stop sidestepping the question or answering imagined one's that are barely related to this one. Thank you.

Yes. Why? Because I have always known He was there, it just took me awhile to find out what people called him. From my earliest days (as a preschooler) I saw the trees, the mountains, and the forests. I saw people who were happy and people who were sad. Sometimes I was sad when people were arguing or angry. I knew someone had to make our world -- something within me knew this. When I was 6 years old, someone finally answered my questions. Do I believe because they told me? No. I believe because my soul is usually at rest when I am living my life as God wants. I believe because my Heavenly Father answers my prayers. I have faith.

The demons believe in God and tremble . . . my point is believing in God will not keep you from Hell. Your good works will not get you to Heaven. Understanding that all humans are sinners, repenting, and accepting Jesus Crhist as your Savior is where you start.

Do you have a conscience? Can you see it? Can you touch it?

I believe in God because of all the evidence of His presence in my life, lots of personal experiences, one in particular, this is very hard but....He used me to stop my son from being molested, if I had not walked in and found them when I did he would have been molested, when they werent where they were supposed to be, something inside me said RUN! and I was lead to the place where they were..coincidence, I dont think so....there was a higher power at work and to which I am very thankful because it could have been a totally different outcome. As a child raised up in church, its like I have always known Him, like a best friend, I dont always walk the walk thats for sure but if I was perfect there would be no need for Jesus, to believe Heaven exists helps me to gt thru all my troubles in the here and now. The other day, I felt the breeze, I know its there altho i cant see it, and I saw a leaf that appeared to be suspended in mid air moving with the breeze, it LOOKED like nothing was holding it there, but a tiny thread of something, possibly a spiders web strand, was holding it there, altho I couldnt see it, it was there nonetheless, everytime I see a baby or hear a child laugh, I feel God, when I see a flower blooming, hear a bird singing, go to the ocean, see a majestic mountain, I feel His presence.

I believe that God is actually a creation of the human mind,in a way. There is a part of God in all of us, deep in our minds and our souls. If all the people were able to use and control that huge percentage of their brains that is said to lye dormant, I believe that we could control the universe. In the unity as one, we create God, together we would be very powerful. There have been studies done that suggest there is power in prayer in numbers. Also there are people who can soul travel, talk to the dead, levitate, move objects with their mind, influence another person, manipulate the world around them... there are many facts that draw me toward this explanation and conclusion. Though there are still a few unanswered questions that do not fit into my scenario, but probably only because I dont know all the facts relating to them.

I have never been presented with evidence that suggests that god exists, but on the other hand I have no evidence that he does not exist. So my answer is I don't know. But deep down in my heart I like the idea of a supreme being who has infinite wisdom and compassion and watches and protects over all of us at all times.

I do and im quite sure everyone does in their own way.

However depends on the real sgnificance that people give to the word god.

For some god is simply a superior being that created us and watched over us.

For others, god is something they cant seem to understand and have to atribute the fact that something "bigger" than one made that happen.

And for the skeptics there is no god, but there is a mystical force that drives the world.

There are many points of view. It all depends on what side of the mirror you are.

yes. Because every fiber of my being yearns for a relationship with our creator. Because 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 16 says all scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, reproving, for setting things straight, I believe then what is written at Psalms 83 stanza 18, that God's name is Jehovah. check it out for yourself. If you have a newer bible that has wrongly omitted this name, look at your grandparents bible, it will be there. Doesn't that make you wonder why it was taken out.

Do you believe that your dwelling was contructed by a construction crew? Or did it just pop up out of nowhere?

I believe what is said at Hebrews chapter 3 verse 4, Of course, every house is constructed by someone, but he that constructed ALL things is God. Everything around me tells me God is a real person. A spirit person. But a person nontheless.

I believe in Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ. Without them we would not have any hope for the future.

Holding on to my relationship with Jehovah and his son, keeps me going through really bad times, because I know they will never forget what we are all going through. and they will do what is promised at Revelation 21:4 "and he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

There are more reasons why, but it would fill a room.

Because I was taught as a child that there is one God, and that we are to worship him and follow his laws and teachings.

I loved and trusted my parents so I believed them . And I taught the same thing to my children and so it goes on and on.

Now that I am a grown woman ( with a very inquisitive and curious mind ) I have studied and read many things from many different sources and have found nothing credible, to change my mind.

If you want to know God ... search for him, ask him to put someone in your path that will help you understand.

yes I believe in god.
It is because he has always answered my prayers for help at the time of serious crisis in life. He has never failed me. I am confident that when ever I am in genuine difficulty and i my self cannot solve the problem he will give me ideas to solve the problem or bring the solution to me as he has done in the past.. I never make any selfish or frivolous demands from god.

You did ask for evidence when you asked why.

Now to answer your question.

Yes I do, but not the puppeteer master in the sky, or manipulative primitive Greek gods fighting with each other, or any god who demands killing and suicide.

That is not God. Easy!

God exists deep in you ... and everybody else too.

Your not quite ready to understand yet, but your question was good l

Yes! I believe in God. To prove this, a couplet expresses similar thoughts. "The best and the most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart."
God is always close to us. It is we who are away from Him. His love is boundless, unconditional and unlimited. In return what He ask? only sincerity. If we need genuine help or more than this, He will provide subject your belief and devotion in God.
