He seems to be a serious political contender in the future, and if he is Islamic, I wonder how this is going to work out for him.

No, he's a Congregationalist - which is part of the United Church of Christ and is a mainline Protestant Christian denomination.

He seems like a very intelligent young man who knows who he is and what he wants for the future. Let's hope he keeps his nose clean and represents the people of Illinois in a way that they can be proud of.

In the current political climate it is quite impossible for a Muslim to be elected president. In the future, after the next big terrorist attack in the U.S., it will be even more impossible. Already Gary Coleman has a better chance of being elected president than a Muslim.

He sure is. And he's going to benefit from the liberal guilt. They have to elect a black muslim or they would be racist right?

He's also going to benefit from the fact that some morons, again liberals, don't believe muslims perpetrated the attacks on 9/11.

This may be turning around much of the anti-islamic sentiment. (However, I live in MA and many of the people I live and work with seem to be highly suspicious of muslims) As for me, I don't trust them at all as the muslim agenda is not compatible with American values and way of life. I don't believe they are all as benign as they claim to be.

Isn't he from Africa??

I don't think he is Muslim, but if he is, who cares?? He has some darn good ideas, and he sounds like he'll get things done.

If every muslim is a fanatic in your eyes, I hate to think why you voted for anyone that stated they were Christian. Have you seen what they have done????
