IDEALISTICALLY: communism = one for all. "From each according to his ability; unto each according to his need. every one is the same rank except the rulers" Dictator = all for one. No one matters except the thug that runs it all and if you dont like it you are compost. Chavez is a good example of a dictator.
No form of govt can last long or do well unless it is based on God's laws and submitted to Jesus-- not even a constitutional republic!

Communism is about a cast structure, and that all has to do with money. Everyone pretty much has the same standard of living in each cast as determined by the Communist regime.
A dictatorship, the head guy controls all, and the head guy gets all of the dough. There is no cast structure based on economic standing - there are those for the dictator, and those against. That is it, end of story.

communism is a type of economic system where everything is owned by the government, and all are supposed to work towards making a better society that is equal. Dictatorship just means that there are no elections - one person is the president without having to be elected and re-elected. In a dictatorship you can have any type of an economic system - including capitalism, like in the US, but it just means that there are no elections.

Dictatorship is an absolute monarchy of any ideology.
Communism is an ideology...and under true communism, there is NO state at all! Only small groups of nomadic foragers have ever practiced true communism.
The U.S.S.R., China, and Cuba called themselves communist, but never came close to being it.
Even Marx said that full-fledged capitalism had to be developed in any given country before communism could ever come about.

The first person said it best. Not every dictator is a communist but all communist leaders were dictators.
Communism is a form of government and a dictatorship is a way of administering that government, which explains the Soviet Union and China.

With Bush in office, there's very little difference between the two.
He even said so himself:
"Running a dictatorship is easy. Just so long as I get to be the dictator."--October 10th, 2000

now it's been a while... but let's see if I remember...
a dictatorship is a style of government... while communism is more of an economic policy... as far as the actual definition...
like we are a democracy (republic if you want to be technical)... and we have a capitalistic economy...
there are democratic socialistic systems... with a more communist economy and democracy style of government, like Sweden...

Communism spreads the wealth of a country and a dictatorship keeps the wealth for themselves (and their cronies-- like the Bush Adm)

None- Because true communism does not exist and never will. People are greedy and there is no way everybody will share everything in peace and harmony. It is a nice thought but sorry it doesn't work!
