The first 3 answers are correct, however, if you are unable to get to a doctor right now, these are the things to do that may help.

Go to the store and buy plain unsweetened no fruit added yogurt and eat about 2 portions a day for the next week.

Go to the drug store and get any antifungal cream or antifungal powder or both. Wash really carefully and apply the cream to the itchy areas. Then put on some of the powder (if you got some). Reapply after every wash, until you can get to the doctor for a diagnosis and medication.

Then after you are over it, check out the yeast link at www.hufa.org for more info - and info on how to prevent it from returning.

If you are in a relationship, your partner could have gotten it from you, and can give it back.

The best thing is go to the doctor. Other than that, get some Monistat at the store. Get the 3 or 7 day treatment. DO NOT get the 1 day treatment, it usually never works. In the Monistat box youll get some vaginal cream for the outside, itll help you to get more comfortable.

I know the feeling, Ive lived with yeast infections, and am living with intestinal yeast overgrowth for the past 5 yrs. Its very hard to get rid of.

I hope you get to feeling better real soon.

Do not scratch the infected area it will only irritate it more.Be sure not to have intercourse until your infection has cleared up.
Tight clothing, antibiotics, and other medications can cause more frequent yeast infections.

Buy a vaginal antifungal medication creme. They sell it at Walgreens or Walmart. Stop your sugar intake because that's contributing to yeast overgrowth. Then go the health store and buy probiotics. Those really help balance the bad bugs and the good bugs. Also, take a garlic supplement to curtail the yeast overgrowth. Look up Candida, and follow the Candida diet.

You go to the pharmacy and get the cream and tablets that cure it. They don't cost much, and you don't need a prescription either.
