I am just curious - if you believe that marijuana should NOT be made legal have you ever tried it? Not someone you know... but you? I'm just wondering here, I am NOT trying to start a debate.

(I'm for legalization but I'm not here to argue with people - just a friendly yes or no question for my personal curiosity)

I've never tried it and though I believe it is relatively harmless and I don't believe it's necessarily a gateway drug, I would still never try it. I just don't like not being in control of myself and I see taking something like smoking marijuana to relax or escape as weakness. For that matter I don't care for anti-depressants, sleeping pills etc..except in extreme cases.

As far as calling it a recreational drug is just silly, that's no way to spend your time.

The only thing I find distasteful about marijuana is in fact the way it is distributed. The same would be true for any illegal drug. So, of course I think it should be legalized. In doing so we would stop a lot of crime that is associated with marijuana or any other illegal drug. Take the big profit away and hence no more crime committed to get the money to buy it. Unprofitable= not worth the dealers time. Pawn shops would go out of business. (Now that is a real heart breaker.) We would not see any idiot dealers driving their Hummers with great big wheels. So sad. Our underpaid law enforcement officers who work in pawn shops and extort money from dealers would have to get a paper route or mow lawns. And on and on.

The users would most likely be the same people who are using under our corrupt system. It would lessen their need to steal, rob or murder.

Think about it.

Pot is a weed, why would one tax a weed, a common herb????

If smoking things that are proven can and will kill is legal, then why not pot? Because it's a drug and it can be addictive? I tried so many times to quit smoking cigs but the addiction was too great. I finally stopped but it took me a very long time. I smoked pot for quite a few years, recreationally, and one day I just stopped. No problem stopping.

It is ok with medical things but people are already abusing it. If we legalize it then it will only get worse.

If you think prices for pot are high now if they legalize it, it will be taxed so badly it won't be worth buying.

Look I already told you, I don't want to smoke up with you! That might lead to something that we might regret later. I don't want to ruin this perfect YA relationship that we have.

i've tried it many many times, but will never do it again. I believe in decriminalizing it like Holland.
