I own a 2000 Honda Civic Si that I have poured thousands into and ive blown alot of cars off the road, but put speed aside, the quality and the endurance of the Honda engineering is unbelievable. Ive seen Hondas with over 250,000 miles on the engine and it's still pumping good if it has been taken care of. Honda is reputable for it's quality. Not to mention, easy to modify, there isn't an aftermarket part out there that won't fit a Honda.

I guess you have never heard an Accord called a "race-cord" huh? I have had plenty of Hondas and to be honest with you if I had one I knew would do excellent in a race I would do it to. They are fast little cars, especially with the right "toys" in them. And exactally like 1 person said, my Honda has 290,000 mi. on it and still goes great. And it's also true, there is practically nothin you can't find for a Honda.

Why not?...Why race dogs or humans? I've owned a Honda that could obliterate any car you've seen...7 second quarter. It's not just Civics that are riced, many others are too. You can thank The Slow and the Stupid for introducing the 15 year old kids to 5 foot spoilers and fart cans.

The Fast and the Furious
Japanese cars like the Honda Civic are cheap to mod and race vs. other models. So, you have a legion of young men who drive fast and furious.

people race Honda's because you can get an old civic or crx pretty cheap and drop an integra or rsx motor in it fairly easily and get a lot more 'dependable' horsepower in a light weight chassis.
