Absolutely. Never too early to start.
First snowman of the season: a snow-lawnchair with a dummy (scarecrow, etc.) reading a book and sunning itself.

Look up some stuff on the internet...should be tons of pictures of cool snow sculptures to give you ideas. Then you can make sure you have all the tools you will need ahead of time. =)

yeah, make a snowkitty, and sure go ahead and plan it out, find a box to collect the clothes you want your snowkitty to wear,include stuff for its nose, arms, buttons, scarf, broom or something you want your snowkitty to have, glasses maybe too, and make a list of what you want your snowkitty to look like, like draw a picture of it and put it in the box too....
