Can someone give suggestions to make an awesome mum?

I wanna make my own and i don't know where to start. Homecomeing is not till October but I wanna start. Any suggestions would be nice.

IF you want a big pretty mum use about 3 flowers... put a bear or something in the middle of it. Use A LOT of different ribbons (your school colors) and alternate. You shouldnt just have the average ribbon... double whateveryone else usually has, and your mum will be fuller and prettier

or Hay made into the shaped of a body and wide width masking tape.
