Companies can NOT discriminate on age. If they are, get the proof (I mean tangible proof) and file a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission... www.eeoc.gov.

I agree with you... when I was a hiring manager, I could care less what age a person was, as long as they would perform well in the position! Isn't that the only thing that matters?? Seems like common sense.

Suppose if a work is given to a man of 25,30 and 35 ages,of equal qualification: The first two will perform very speed and the 3rd will be perform next to the one and two. But I am not saying that 3rd is slow., he may have less speed and accuracey. In certain works there is no need for accuracey. we can use only the 1st and second.

Younger people are more active have more enthusiasm have less family obligations and less health problems.
Many companies prefer unmarried people who can devote much time with focus.
If U want to hire someone- go for unmarried fresher and see the result.The efforts and input which U put in your first job - U dont put in your second job.
Moreover, younger people can be moulded to cos requirements and can be given directions.A Boss aged 35 find diffcult to take work from someone aged 45 due to age gap.

It depends upon the position. For senior managers and GM level, it is impossible to gain that experience and maturity below 35.

Its all what they want is fast work, in many companies or you can say fields your fastness matters than your experience. So its just for increasing the Output of the company & giving a chance to new people, that not at all is related to discrimination.
