I am renting an apartment in califonia.
Now the owner has to fumigat termits and everyone must get out. Should I be compensated for motel or hotel rental ?

No, the landlord does NOT have to compensate you for your temporary living expenses! He must pro-rate the rent for the time the property is not inhabitable but that's it. You may be able to break your lease and move elsewhere if you wish; check with an attorney or tenants' rights organization on that.

It depends.
If you can't live in the premisis for even a day, yes the owner has to put you up.
But if the treatment can be done in a day (say, while you are at work), then no.

Yes its the owner's job to care for the property and supply u with one

NO he shouldnt have to give you anything, you are just a renter. He should pro-rate your rent for the time you were forced to spend the night elsewhere.
