i'm thinking of going, but i need some advice, like the types of things that jump out at you (in good detail) and when or where they jump out at you. do they chase you?

Not scary at all. The things that jump out at you are bad costumes that are simply not believable. Yes they do chase you sometimes. Universal Studios is the best if they are holding their version this year. They don;t party for Halloween everytime.

go see the show "hacks" in the bird cage theater and see the hanging show thats on the big stage...
besides for that the grudge maze sucks, rides have shorter lines if you go soon, and get your tickets ahead of time
