Florida requires an HVAC license for the consumers protection. Are you planning to move?

Montana, Wyoming, North and South Dakota, Colorado, Kansas, and Texas do not require a "state license." What you will find is the self-rule municipalities may have some ordnance involving HVAC. Outside of these cities most ordnance will require the company to have a contractor license to do installs and up grades, and not the tech. Then, in some cases, nothing is required to do simple R/M.

Wyoming, Colorado and Kansas are is a boom or stable growth.
