Depends which airline - tell me which airline you're flying with and I can tell you the answer, or better still, ask the travel agent when you book the flight. If they don't know, you shouldn't entrust your money with them.
If booking online, the confirmation information will tell you.

I travel all the time! If you are travelling economy the general allowance is 20kg = 44lbs, if you are traveling business class then the general allowance is 30kg = 66lbs. You will also have an addittional hand baggage allowance generally of 6-7 kgs = 13-15lbs or in business class it is 12kgs = 26.5lbs.
If you have a mileage card for an airline you can get additional allowances, if you need more allowance call the airline 1 week before you depart and advise that you have diving equipment or golfing equipment etc and they usually provide you with an addittional 10kgs - 22lbs as these are heavy items. Hope this helps.

most airlines allow 70 lbs (32 kilos) per luggage and allow a total of 2 checked in bags and 1 carry-on not exceding 30lbs. laptops and purses do not count as carry-on bagage. anymore than 2 bags and weighing over 70lbs and you will be charged extra. those weights are pretty much standard for most international carriers for economy seating, if you fly 1st class sometimes they allow heavier weight for your bags or extra bags depending on carrier. check with the airlines before you fly to make sure though.

Each airline is different, but the average is 50 lbs. Anything over that and they can start charging you per lb. They usually allow 2 suitcases plus one carry on..

All depends on the airline and whether you have an airmiles card. It can vary but generally the maximum for any one piece of luggage is 20kg.

Flights to and from America get double what we do, though they're complaining cos it used to be an even larger difference.
