And do you need like a permit to handle it or they just like sell it to you or what i dont know much about it, just curious though?

Local grocery store..they don't have a ton but generally about 5-10 pounds in stock.

Look in the yellow pages of your phone book. in my phone book, for a medium-size city, 7 vendors are listed under "dry ice". It doesn't require any sort of permit.

The best place is at your local dairy. They use it to keep ice cream freozen for picnics and such. Growing up our church picnics always had us kids pushing quarters into dry ice to hear them buzz.

u could buy it in party city or the internet everything is on the internet. but go check party or costume stores it should be simple to find now during holloween season
