My friends are humanitarians. And they want to save the animals. And they want to stop global warming. And they want to...well you get it, they want to help the world. But I am very worried. They are both memebers of Greenpeace, and the first thing they want to do is try and help save the whales. They are very smart people, but they don't think about any other way than going out in those little boats, as we have seen on the news. I have tried to tell them other more, well, logical, ways of doing it, but they won't listen. I am really worried about them, because although I support them, I'm afraid they'll get hurt, and they have told me that they don't care if they die to save animals. What can I do?

You need to take them to San Francisco, and invite them on a site-seeing tour at sea, where they can see all the SCHOOLS of WHALES out there!! This may help them see that there are margins in everything, and enough laws to protect about everything.

When I was like 17, I started smoking, thinking that the world was going to DIE in MY lifetime, until...
I was on a hiking thingy with friends, and guess what? I was the ONLY one SMOKING!! They were QUICK to CORRECT my THINKING!! Although I continued to smoke, I couldn't forget that the "SKY WASN'T FALLING!"

That's very considerate of you, to be concerned about your friends and I think they are very courageous, for wanting to save the whales. All you can do, is pray that they will go and return from their journey, safely. Prayer is powerful, it makes things happen.

well, i understand your worry, but your friends are obviously going to believe what they believe. because they are very passionate about the subject, you can't really change their minds. try to be patient with them and be supportive, even though you disagree, because they are your friends.

to stop global warming, theoreticly you would have to block out the sun. there is NO way to compleatly stop global warming.

More efficiant ways would be great

btw i didn't read it all
