This website is pretty informational about leap years:

http://www.giles-lea.giles.k12.tn.us/bms/leap.htm

(An easy way for me to remember the leap years is that they fall on the same year that we vote for our U.S.President.)

For our purposes here, the leap years during the period of time you are referencing (3700 days from Sept 29, 06) happen to be 2008, 2012, and 2016. So, for those years, there are 366 days in a year (29 days in February).

And, if you learned the children's rhyme about days in a month, it helps here, too:

Thirty days has September, April, June, and November;
All the rest have 31, except February, which has 28 and sometimes 29.

During a non-leap year, there are 365 days in a year; the leap year has 366 days in a year.

Let's begin. Presuming you are NOT considering Sept 29, 2006 as "day one" (not "inclusive"), then we start with Sept 30, 2006 as one day:

1 (Representing 09/30/2006)
31 (Month of October, 2006)
30 (Month of November, 2006)
31 (Month of December, 2006)

365 (Total days in 2007) (Jan 1st - Dec 31st)
366 (Total days in 2008) (Leap year)
365 (Total days in 2009)
365 (Total days in 2010)
365 (Total days in 2011)
366 (Total days in 2012) (Leap year)
365 (Total days in 2013)
365 (Total days in 2014)
365 (Total days in 2015)

Currently, we have 3,380 days:
1+31+30+31=93;
365 x 7 = 2,555;
366 x 2 = 732

93+2,555+732=3,380.

3700 - 3,380 = 320 days still needed... Here's where the rhyme comes in:

01/2016 = 31 days
02/2016 = 29 days (leap year)
03/2016 = 31 days
04/2016 = 30 days
05/2016 = 31 days
06/2016 = 30 days
07/2016 = 31 days
08/2016 = 31 days
09/2016 = 30 days
10/2016 = 31 days (whew!) That's 305 days in 2016, through October. We still need 15 days to make the 320, so we add the first 15 days of November.

If all these numbers were added correctly, 3700 days from 09/29/06 would be 11/15/2016.

Now, if the ONLY thing you needed to know was "what year" it would be, then the simple method of determining that would be to divide 3700 by 365, getting 10 and some odd years (less than 11 years), and adding 10 years to 2006, coming up with 2016...

But wasn't it enlightening to learn all about leap years and days of months???!!???

Every year is about exactly 365 1/4 days. 4 years is 366days meaning the leap year,adding a day to feburary so if you do the math it ranges from about the end of 2016 to about the beginning of 2017.

divide 3700 by 365 (days in a year) and you have the years to add to 2006.

2016. What day exactly I don't know, cause you would have to figure in leap years.
