No one really knows how God became, it's something that will probably always go unanswered. But no it wasn't Jesus, He is God's Son, so God made Him not the other way around. Jesus is the Savior and God is the Creator. There was nothing before God so we don't know how He was put into the world.

Man did. Before he could comprehend that thoughts in his head could be his own. (Think about it, your thinking has to be advanced enough to even have a conception of 'self'). Early man had rudimentary thoughts that were mainly used for communicating mundane instructions. Complex thoughts probably evolved ahead of him, and the only thing the imagination could conjure was a separate, superior being, i.e. God or gods.
