Just want some tips from people who have experienced it recently, not like my parents who went to University like 30 years ago.

Read the assignment for class the day after or the day before...you absorb the material better. And you are keeping up and that leaves your weekend care-free.

For big assignments, spread them over free-time. try reading a one night paper and you realize how much it needs revising.

Get experience/internships starting second sophomore year. That way, you can have a good amount of experience after you graduate.

umm...Dont over eat, food coma sets in and you cant do anything for a few hours. Go to that gym because there is no mandatory gym anymore. Idk what else... email if you want more specifics. Right now, im ignoring homework to be on Y!A lol

oh yea, study habits...I'm a group studier..meaning that I focus more than when I am alone. Make friends from your class with similar studying habits and do it together. Peer learning has a big impact and very effective. And it makes studying a little bit more fun. And always do it away from distractions...ie, dont have the TV on.

I cant stop editing but..... Have a normal sleep schedule. Like sleep at 2 am every night so you can wake up near the same time every morning. Eat a breakfast...i just started eating breakfast and I just found out how much more awake I am during class.

I went to University like 30 years ago. For me I had to get used to the idea that just serving time, like attending lectures and staring at your notes at home isn't enough. For the first time you're on your own.If reading and re-reading a passage doesn't make it clearer, then drop it, study a different topic and come back to it later.

I just recently in the last year went back, I found that forming study groups are helpful, especially prior to the exams, I emailed my instructor and he gave me some tutoring on his office hours, get involved at school talk to other students enjoy college its fun, if you have microsoft one note it is great for taking notes in class and it also has recording feature on it so you can record the lecture while your taking notes and fill in places that you missed or need to go back and listen

Find good study buddies. It's harder to earn good grade all by yourself. You have to do discussions and corporate in difficult classes. And it's very easy to fall behind if you start to fall behind. That's why so many do so bad first year. And utilize all the tutoring/mentoring services.

Go to class, take notes, do the homework, get help if you need it, and pay attention. Its just like highschool, but the time to learn the information is more condensed and the classes are bigger.

Consume as much alcohol as possible.

No, seriously, have fun, and do your assignments on time, and take final exams seriously. That's all there is to it.
