It may be wise to visit a skin care salon for a consultation, before you start using what would in effect be a soup of products that may have mixed results. You would, as rightly mentioned above, need a system of exfoliate, cleanse/ mositurise and masks to get your skin tone back but it is important to make sure that you are clear about your skin type. I would (though I have not seen your skin, I would stress) perhaps suggest the Oligodermie professional range which you can look at here:

Try an arrange a visit to a salon soon!

Facial scrubs are not strong enough. A series of Glycolic Peels will do the stuff. They are not as scary as they sound. They only take five minuets. I have seen good results with the No7 one from Boots. In the salon we use more stronger ones but a few of them will cost you hundreds.

My skin started peeling off after I had my baby. It was nasty. I had always used Dove products, but they were not enough with this issue. I bought Clinique face soap and Clinique lotion. I saw a difference in a week. For the rest of my body I use Cetaphil soap and lotion. I always get compliments on my skin now. Try it!

`dull complexion`
mix yeast and half a teaspoon of tomato puree and honey. apply on face. wash off with warm water.
tomato slices or juice can be applied on the skin. it is good for oily skin and has a cleansing effect. also lightens skin colour.
soak fennel in water overnight. strain the water and wash the face with it. cleanses and brightens dull skin.
collect lemon peels and dry them in the sun. grind coarsely and use it in face masks or scrubs. cleanses the skin and keeps it healthy.
`skin whitening`
2 teaspoons of oatmeal powder, 2 teaspoons of almond powder, 2 teaspoons of carrot juice. mix all and apply on pigmented area twice daily.
`removing dead cells and revitalizing a dull complexion`
one papaya, one teaspoon of honey,1 teaspoon of lime juice. mix all ingredients in a blender. apply to the face and neck and leave on for 20 minutes and then wash off with warm water.
hopes this helps you!
