more than any other single action that I have ever taken in my life! I named him and even though people don't understand I AM a MOTHER and always will be.. but I had absolutely NO choice and that has scarred me forever.

If you have had one don't go beating yourself up over it......It is too late to turn back the clock......Yes, I had an abortion and I felt bad about it for years. I still think about it when someone brings up the subject. I know at the time it was the right thing to do as there was no way I was ready for a baby in my life......I am sorry for the lose of life and sometimes feel guilty.....BUT ......It would have been cruel to bring an unwanted child into the world ......It is a double edged sword because I could have gone to full term but I know if I did that I would not have wanted to give it up for adoption [an alternitive] and at the same time I know I would not have been able to raise a child at that time in a responsible way........So I regret it...sure....but it was the right decision at the time and I feel confidant that I made the right decision....Don't torture yourself over what is right and wrong ....with this there is no right or wrong answer as far as YOU are concerned. Think of the outcome and consequences.....I can live with regret but not messing up an unborn babies life.......

None of the many women I know who have had abortions regret it. They each made the best choice at the time.

My wife told me this story....
She was with her boyfriend at the time (years before we knew eachother). Her liberal bf thought she was pregnant, so he pretty much forced her to go to the PP. She gets there and as she is waiting to be seen, she sees this journal that is kept at the clinic. A journal so that the women can write down their feelings and everything and other women can share their feelings.
Well, she flips through it and everyone she reads talks about how ashamed, dirty and sorry they are for going through with it. They knew it was a life but went along with it because it was what their significant other was forcing them to do. its not about womens rights, its about men selfishly forcing women to go through a dangerous procedure so the guy will get what he wants. Once the guy realized what she was reading he took it away from her so it wouldnt discourage her from what he wanted her to do.

She took the pregnancy test and she wasnt pregnant, their relationship ended very soon afterwards. I guess the guys true character comes out during something like this.

Hopefully, before any one actually has the operation they have thoroughly thought about all the pro's and cons that this option entails.
With this in mind the only regret that could be left is regarding the circumstance that the person is in, that they could not change in order to bring another person into the world.
