I don't know the name of the movie or any actors however I know that in the movie the womans husband/partner continually beats her up so she leaves him and when he finds her he beats her again and stabs her a couple times before running over her in his car and leaving her for dead. I know it's not a lot but I was hoping someone could let me know where I could search for this movie to try and find the name of it

Can't remember the name of the title, but it is a true story. Taking place - I believe - in a small town in Massachusetts. The women was portrayed by Nancy McKeown (spelling? The brunette tom-boy who starred in Facts of Life) The women had numerous reports on file and restraining orders against her husband and was instrumental in changing the laws of spousal abuse. She ended up suing the Police and Sher riffs departments for neglect and slow response time to an emergency (I think she was laying in her driveway for 45 mins. or so) and won.

Sounds like The Burning Bed with Farrah Fawcett, but that was in the 80's.

no clue but thanks for the points! if you get a name or two of the actors/actresses in the movie, i may be able to help you out. the first movie that comes to mind though is "sleeping with the enemy," though i don't know if the estranged hubby runs her over with the car.
