I think he was accused of inappropriate conversation with a 16 year old. I think their was some sexual conversation over the computer, but not in person.I don't think he would have quit if he wasn't guilty of something. Kinda like Clinton an old guy 48 at the time and 21 yr old Monica..and a cigar. Oh wait, that's right...the democrats said it was none of our business what he did in his personal life.Character didn't matter. Well, I think at least Foley had the right frame of mind to resign his post if he is indeed guilty of inappropriate behavior. At least he did the right thing by not claiming... HE DID NOT DO WHATEVER THEY ACCUSED HIM OF...WHEN HE REALLY DID! I'll give him that...to bad he had to drag the Republican party down with him. What makes people think Character doesn't count for something...It Absolutely does!! He'll have to be punished in some way, after the charges are rendered,

So far, his crime seems to be E-mailing a 16 year old Page a year or more ago. What is strange is that it is just now coming to light? Sounds political to me.

I am curious though. I have heard when democrat's get caught like this, that it is a personal matter, or that it was nothing and it should be left alone. Maybe Congressman Foley is gay and he was talking about it with someone else that may have been gay? Is that not OK for democrats? or is it only ok if the one who gets caught is a democrat?

Me, personally, IF he is guilty, then he needs to go to Jail. One little problem is that he has not even been charged yet and you have him guilty.

Regardless of the fact that I am a Republican, I think he should be tried, and if convicted he should be strung up by his cojones and forced to be a registered sex offender. I don't care what party a person is from, this is an issue that deals with our children worldwide...and one that is dealt with far too lightly in my opinion!!!

He should loose His job, of course. Thankfully, being the Republican Party will mean judgement and not cover-up and excuses.

The Justice Dept should look into it. They are the law enforcement agency in charge of Capital Hill.

Oh yes he should be hung by his toes for writing the kid and asking about school.

He exercised poor judgement and lost his job. There's no crime involved.

We know he is accused of sending those emails to that 16 year old, but what crime are you alleging he committed?

All politicians are molesting something. Congressional Aids, our pocket books, American blue collar workers, our ears when they insult them with their bs. The list is endless.
