Im 28and I have rheumatoid arthritis (RA), diagnosed in 2002 and have been on heavy medication since. I've been off of my meds in January since my husband & I decided we want to have a baby. I am on predisone and my weight has gradually increased especially on the face. I also face possibilities of glaucoma and bone thinning due to prednisone. We've been trying to get pregnant for 4 months with no luck. I've charted my ovulation, used ovulation kits. Doctors wont even see me unless we've been trying to get preg for at least a year. My rheumatologist said the sooner I get preg, I can be off of prednisone since RA symptoms generally go away during pregnancy.I dont want to seem to be impatient, but I really need to get preg soon. The poofy face really bothers me along with other bad side effects of prednisone. Any suggestions are welcome.

Keep charting your ovulation by a BBT thermometer. Also what is your husband doing to make sure his S.count is staying strong. A few things is making sure he wears boxers,no tight pants or shorts,no bike riding, mainly for him nothing that heats up or constricts his testicles. Another thing is having sex every other day he needs aleast one day for his s.count to be back to 100%. For you put a pillow under your butt and after you and him are finish stay there don't get up. When we were trying I would either fall asleep where I was laying or I would prop my fee up on the head board. If you create the gravity level to go toward your uterus then you will have a better chance. My husband and me got pregnant within 4-months of trying and only 1 of them was us down and serious try doing everything we had read about doing to get pregnant. A great web site with info is babycenter.com.

I do hope that this helps

I think patience would help! My hubby and I have been trying for 6 months. Getting pregnant is actually a hard thing (in any given cycle, a woman only has 25% chance of getting pregnant).

I would say, have sex every other day, or once every 3 days. Eat healthy. Chart your cervical mucus (when it's thin and slippery is when you are most fertile, as opposed to sticky and stuff). Also just have fun. It'll happen soon.

I would reccomend an ovulation prediction kit, and then having sex 3 days before you are due to ovulate! sperm can last up to 72 hours inside your body. You don't want to try everyday, because that will lower his sperm count! Most importantly is to relax, because on average, when a couple has intercourse, there chances of becoming pregnant are 20%. Stress can lower this. It will happen for you!!! BABY DUST to you!!!

Sorry for all the trouble you are going through.

I can offer some suggestions and i hope i help:

*Relax
*Stop worrying (When you do that is when most likely you will get pregnant)
*After sex hold your legs up in the air for about 10 minutes to help the sperm along
*Take folic acid
*When you have sex (You on top) and both you and your hubby should try to orgasm at the same time as that can draw the sperm up in you quicker and futher
*Go to http://www.mymonthlycycles.com and put in your period info and it will calculate when you will be fertile and ovulating. (It is a free and helpful site)
*Praying never hurts

If it comes down to going to a doctor, I know the best one to go to about this issue would be Dr. Richard Levin and his website is at http://www.babies-by-levin.com

Good luck to you
