Ooohh, no need to rush in. The best might be writing about all the ways you think of her and then present her with that writing. Expensive is not really a thing of money anyhow. And yes 16 is a special b-day. Do let her know you care and some of the ways in which you care. The best to you and all those in love.

Every girl likes flowers unless she is allergic. Find out what her favorite things are and get her a couple of items. Don't go overboard because there will be other birthdays and you will have to get more each time. If she loves you back, then you can spend time together on that day.

Get her a locket. That is a small necklace shaped like a heart with space inside for a picture. (If she loves you back it'll be your picture she puts inside.)

I.D. braclets are also fashionably trendy. You can have it engraved.
Neither of these ideas is too forward, nor should they put a teen in the poor house. Go to a jewler in the mall.

A car would be nice, but probably not in your price range. It all depends on her. Figure out something she loves and get her something related to it, such as if she like animals you could take her to the zoo and dinner, or talk to er parents and see if they'd let you get her a pet. If all else fails diamonds are a girls best friend, if you catch my drift.

what a SWEETHEART! u are already a catch! but, if she is sentimental, dry her some flowers, and press them in a book. an give them to her. if she is monetarily inclined, give her some expensive shoes or workout outfit or spa certificate. if she likes bling, and all that, give her balloons, flowers, and A CARD. give her every reason not to turn a sweetie down!

How about throwing her a surprise birthday bash she'll never forget. Invite her friends and family and have lots of cake and ice cream. You can even take lots of pictures and then make a scrapbook for her so she'll never forget.
