So, I got some new boobs this summer and haven't told my parents yet. My mom did notice a change, but I told her that I was wearing padded clothing and she bought it. So, I know I eventually have to tell her b/c I'm getting married and when I put on the dress she'll be there. My fiance thinks I should try to make a joke of it and tell her first that the reason they're bigger is b/c I'm pregnant and then tell her I'm kidding, I just got them done. Somehow I'm thinking that's not going to work either. Any suggestions?

And what makes them nasty? My fiance likes them and so do I, so that's all that should matter. People who judge other just b/c of something like a boob job need to get off their high horses.

Has NOTHING to do w/it being wrong or right. She has this belief that it will be harder to breast feed if I get them done BEFORE having a kid. If I had them done after I had a kid then I wouldn't have a problem telling her.

I got them done because I wanted to and I'm glad I did it. That should be a good enough answer.

Yeah, I'll eventually tell her. Guess I'm just not ready to deal with the stress of her getting on my case about doing it before having a kid.

You are absolutely right. Your the one that has to be happy with your decision...and no one else. Even if you tell your mom...sure she might be a little upset at first but I certainly don't think that she's going to love you any less for having done it.

I'm not going to comment on your decision to get implants or not because its really not my business and lots of people get them done. I will say that I think you should have waited until after you have children though. I'm planning to get mine made smaller (I'm a DD and not overweight either) but I'm waiting to get it done after I have kids...just to I can have them lifted at the same time. Anyways, enough about that. As for telling your mom, I wouldnt really worry so much about it. Its really not her business what you do to your body. If shes asks if you got them done I would just say "yes mom I did and I'm very happy with my decision." If she doesnt ask you I would just keep it to myself.

Just tell her. What's she gonna do, slap your face? The surgery had to hurt worse than anything she can do. Start off your married life by taking charge. It's unfair to get married if you can't stand up to your parents because someday you will have to choose your husband over your parents.

The only thing that's going to work is honesty, kiddo. Just tell her. The fact is that it is your body, if you want to modify it, that's your prerogative. Hopefully she'll agree.

If you're old enough to get married, you're old enough to have them "done". Just tell her you have a surprise, sure she will be surprised!

why did you get fake breasts anyway? i wouldn't tell my mom. it's none of her business what you do with your body. if she notices you can tell her. you shouldn't have lied about it though, now you will look guilty. if you are guilty you know its wrong. if you knew it was wrong why'd you do it?????

Just let her know that you did it to help you feel better about yourself, she should understand.
