Our school is doing a Harry Potter play this year. We're an all boys school and because I am shorter than some, I got picked to play Hermione. Any suggestions for how I should go about playing her?

oooh.....i wish i were there to c it...
anyway....try to act a little feminine but in total control of yourself...remember always that u r intelligent and that one day,cuz of that, the world will lay at ur feet....dont forget to be compassionate....
she is a wonderful person...just remember that and try to put yourself in her shoes.....i know its difficult but if u were chosen for it(this is assuming ur height is not the only reason u were chosen for the role).....u must be a really good actor!
good luck!

OK dukalink6 has some good attributes in how to play Hermione. For tips on how to portray a female when you aren't try viewing "Shakespeare in Love". Pay attention to the two lads who are vieing for the female lead. Good luck and don't worry to much about girly mannerisms if you are doing the first three years as Hermione was still not matured.

try the best you can and act how you think you should. The director will probably help you out so Break a leg (that means good luck in theater)

try to imagine you can think clearly and logically, think of consequences rather then quick results. Think like a female - not a male
