I've never heard white people call each other the n word. As for the 'orange race' thing, that's obviously not true, but pretty funny. Some white people definitely go overboard on the tanning. I am a very white white person and personally do not tan at all. I am perfectly fine with my complexion. Besides, I'd rather be white then be all wrinkled and riddled with skin cancer.

No white people don't want to be anything other than what they are. The reason they (we) tan is that the media moguls through television, movies, and magazines etc have convinced everyone that a deep, bronze tan somehow "looks" healthy and attractive. Somehow the sarcoma and melanomas that go hand in hand with abuse of the skin by overexposure to the high frequevcy ultraviolet rays don't appear nearly as attractive, regardless of the initial skin color. And as for using the "n" word... personally I hate the fact that the "n" word has gotten all the publicity that it has. It indicates the lazy drawn out slang used particularly in the rural south to pronounce the word ***** (Latin for black) or Nigra. It's use by whites are attempts to blend-in with NOT be devisive towards blacks. I believe that it is an attelpt to be friends by emulating the way blacks are portrayed on tv and in movies as talking. And let's face it, listen to much "black" music and one would believe that ****** is the word of the day to get attention. And it does. And I just had to edit after I find Yahoo has edited the ever offensive "n" word from this text. I can find out how to end humanity on the web but heaven help the man saying ******.

I dont understand why would people put tan in a bottle on themselves. It looks sooo un-natural, thats a 60's-70's thing, getting a tan. Actually I never seen a tan on a white person, if you call being reddish a tan.

Your cousin is wrong.
I am white, I act white, I don't wish I was something else.
I get a tan in the summer when I go to the beach to swim.
I am not trying to get a tan, it just happens.
I never, ever call anybody the n word.

Some white people don't think it's cool to be white. Others don't mind being white they just don't want to be pale. When a white person has a tan it can be a sign that they went on a nice vacation.

That's funny! I don't call anyone the n word. And when I tan, it's to turn a nice golden shade, not black. I'll never be able to tan that dark. And my tan always fades back to pale within a month.

I'm comfortable in my own skin, thank you very much!

i'm not racist and i hope no one takes it that way. i'm the whitest thing in arizona. i dont tan, i dont feel the need to try to be a race i'm not. i know its showing my age a little but when i was in school every race had their own music, their own style of clothing and the way they talked. there was no blurring of the lines. i appreciated a lot of the black and spanish music, but i didnt feel the need to act like another race any more than they felt the need to look or act like me. i dont understand why its the in thing to try to be black now. not the true black, the black thats portrayed in music videos and in movies. i see pure white kids in the stores or driving down the road. they are dressed like gangsters, calling each other obscene names, they have rap music blasting so loud in their cars that i dont see why they are trying to talk over the music. who are they trying to impress? trying to show their other white friends that they arent white? it doesnt make any sense to me. i have black and mexican friends, we dont try to act like each other, we accept each other for who we are, individuals!
