No not at all. I have had to be very aware of cervical cancer from an early age. Cancer of all kinds runs on both sides of my family. I take it all very seriously. Cancer is no longer an old person's disease. It kills the young. A woman I worked with just died of cancer at 39. She left two sons 4 and 6. Be proactive about your health. Go to the dr. for regular checkups. Ask questions. If you think something is wrong, you bug a dr. until they listen to you and check it out. Cancer, of any kind, is not something to mess around with. Why do you think cervical cancer is a hoax?

Cervical cancer is very real.

I do think it's a little shady of the pharm company to be putting out all these ads about cervical cancer only when they now have a vaccine for the virus (HPV 16 & 18) that causes many cases of cervical cancer.

Cervical cancer is very real and very serious. HPV (human papillovirus) can be transmitted sexually and has been shown to cause cervical cancer. Cervical cancer can kill you! Trust me - scientists have known about this stuff for a long time...just not it's getting out to the general public.

what could possibly be gained by lying about a type of cancer that is very real? no, it's not a hoax and consider yourself fortunate that you or someone you love doesnt have it.

No, it is not. Unchecked, it claims women's lives that could have lived had they had their annual pap exam. My aunt and cousin had this, but fortunately it was caught in time.

Please educate yourself and make sure you get a pap test each year. The life you save may be your own.
