With the recent scandal of Congressman Foleys Pedaphilia yet again it begs the question.
Why does it seem Conservatives Police and Chastise their own while Liberals make excuses for their Peers transgressions. Where is the accountability?

From the initial responses I would ask that you actually read the question before answering.
I never said Republicans were better, only that it seems when one acts up at least someone in the Party will call them on it unlike Demoncrats who defend bad behaviour.

All defended by their peers.

The Democrats have built a constituency around a lack of personal responsibility/accountability. If the people who vote for Dems don't need it, why should the Dems themselves.

Foley was an integral part of the comittee that is supposed to be PROTECTING children. It's disgusting. No matter which political party he'sin. I hope he'll get prosecuted and his other victims come forward, too. In any case, he'll probably take a walk like anyone else with money and a high priced atty. I guess it'll be for the good of the country. But not for little boys.

Who knows what Foley got away with or would have done if he was not caught. At least Clinton had consensual sex with an adult woman. I'm a liberal and I have never defended a pedophile.

Why are we talking about "Republicans or "Democrats". The point is, they are the "Government". They are supposed to protect us. There is a very double-standard when we can't make any mistake at all, and they can go above the "law".
It makes me feel very uncomfortable that priests, people in the government, have the right to judge us, when so many of them are corrupt. I bet there are so many that are getting away with "so-called murder", simply because they never got caught, because they are that calculating and manipulating.

Who was the last Democrat to be outed as a pedephile? They are Republicans. People wonder why legislation is too lenient on child molesters, it's because child molesters are writing the legislation.

If party affiliation bothers you, do something about it. What I'm most concerned about is having pedophiliacs representing the American people. Filter the garbage from both sides of the spectrum.
