I have seen many blacks whine about slavery and tout there history but do nothing about the plight of blacks in their home land!

I'm Irish...if there were 12 million people in Ireland with aids and famine...I would act or try to help in some way!

Most don't have the money to help their country, they're on welfare themselves. And unless they're Oprah, it will continue that way.

it is not so much the "slavery" that they whine about, but about the treatment during and after.As far as "their home land",this United States of America is their homeland.And generation after generation have fought and died in every war whether they were slaves or free men and women.Although I myself have accepted the past history for what it was.If you were referring to Africa and the many differ ant situations that are taking place there,perhaps you just haven't met the many different people and or groups, many of them belong to some type of religious organization, that work,without any media attention to try to make a difference.A word to the ignorant -PEACE!

How about the many blacks that work hard support others? I am sure there are a lot more good people out there than you believe. Many people in many countries die to change their plight. You need to try to learn about those heroes and when you know the facts, I hope you change your opinion.

To be quite blunt it's because they are too selfish and lazy to do anything. They're too busy looking for a free hand out from the government to worry about helping anyone. All they care about is getting a check so they can sit on they're asses while the rest of America goes on working and paying taxes to support their lazy a*s*ses. And why do they do this? Because of policies that were used 200 hundred some odd years ago. Seriously, if you think your owed something because blacks were inslaved nearly 200 years ago your flippin mad. It's idiocy, selfishness, and laziness in the purest of forms. Go figure.

Maybe because their homeland is America. You don't see me leaping into action to save Germany, why should a black person worry about Africa above America...if that's what you were getting at, that is.

Because these black people are now Americans, not africans. They do not come from Africa if they are born in AMerica.

What do you mean "their home country". I always thought that if you were born in America, America is their home country!
