The rich and their corporations could no longer contribute all that money to political parties and candidates. Would the rich lose their tax cut? Would corporations be required to pay taxes and be responsible? Would a common person have a chance at being elected to the Senate or even President?

You are so right, you should write a speech about that, call it , the I have a dream speech, I have a dream that someday all hard working honest Americans will actually have a chance at making it, that American Companys will no longer be aloud to go to Mexico in order to get cheap labor, that American will someday truely be what our proud white ancestors who worked hard to build this country, intended it to be.

First off there is no full proof way to stop someone giving money to a candidate. Lets face it in these times money is being given to a politician any which way that goes around the campaign finance laws.

Theoretically if we could get the corporation and the rich to stop paying there would be a slight problem. There may not be enough money for the candidates to put up a good campaign. Though it would be nice to see less ads on TV. Bottom Line even without corporations and the rich you would still have the problem of necessary funds. It might make a somewhat better chance for the common person.

The real problem with campaign finance is not how the candidates get the money its the size of the federal government. The reason why a politician gets a lot of money from people is that the person wants to try to influence their vote in congress. The person realizes how much power the federal government actually has, ie think about how many lobbyists. Also the politician could get a contributor a tax exempt for you Federal Income.

Corporations would move over seas as they ARE doing. The Rich not care as they not pay taxes anyway. And a common person running for Senate or President would easily be shot.

Yes, without crooked politicians to attend to their every need. Corporations would no longer hold a big part of who gets elected.
