this is pretaining to the first law of thermodynamics. No enegry lost or created. If I snap a pencil in half leaving it on the table what happening to the energy it took to break the pencil?

Hi. The pencil was heated by breaking it. This heat was dissipated pretty quickly into the surrounding air.
